Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using the TaskCentro platform (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately. TaskCentro is operated by TaskCentro Ltd (the "Company").

TaskCentro is a web-based freelance marketplace connecting clients with professional service providers ("Freelancers") across Africa. The Platform facilitates:

• Job posting and bidding
• Contract creation and milestone tracking
• Secure payment processing
• Real-time communication between parties

You must register an account to use most features of the Platform. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information at all times

TaskCentro reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or provide false information.

Clients agree to:

• Post accurate and complete job descriptions
• Honour agreed contract terms
• Make timely payments for completed and approved work

Freelancers agree to:

• Provide services as described and to the agreed standard
• Meet agreed deadlines
• Maintain professional conduct at all times

All payments are processed through the Platform's integrated payment gateway (Tingg). Key payment terms:

• TaskCentro charges a 10% commission on all transactions, deducted automatically before funds reach the Freelancer
• All amounts are displayed in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) unless stated otherwise
• Clients must confirm payment on their registered mobile device when prompted
• Payments are only released to Freelancers after the Client has approved the submitted work

Contracts are binding agreements between Clients and Freelancers facilitated through the Platform. Important contract terms:

• A contract may be edited (including fee adjustments) by the Client before payment is made
• Once payment is initiated, contract terms are final and cannot be changed without mutual agreement
• Any changes after payment initiation must go through the dispute resolution process

TaskCentro provides a built-in dispute resolution mechanism. In the event of a dispute:

1. Both parties must first attempt to resolve the issue directly through Platform messaging
2. If unresolved, either party may escalate through the formal dispute process
3. TaskCentro's decision in unresolved disputes is final and binding

The following are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

• Fraud, misrepresentation, or impersonation
• Harassment, abuse, or threatening behaviour
• Posting false, misleading, or offensive content
• Spam or unsolicited commercial communications
• Any illegal activity under Zambian law

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

All content, trademarks, and software on the Platform are the property of TaskCentro Ltd. Users retain ownership of the work they produce but grant TaskCentro a limited, non-exclusive licence to display such work on the Platform for promotional purposes.

TaskCentro acts as an intermediary and is not liable for the quality, legality, or completion of services between Clients and Freelancers. The Company's total liability in any matter is limited to the value of the transaction in question.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.

TaskCentro reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
